The Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land consistently receives positive feedback regarding cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and a convenient location near restaurants and shopping. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistent service at the front desk and occasional issues with room conditions, including cleanliness and maintenance concerns. Despite the generally positive experience, some guests have reported frustrating interactions with staff and noticeable shortcomings in room upkeep.

As a member I had a great experience staying at Hyatt. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and professional. The front desk staff was welcoming, helpful, and made the process quick and easy. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The bed was extremely cozy, the bathroom was clean and well-stocked, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxing and upscale. You can tell they pay attention to detail. The amenities were also impressive whether it was the fitness center, dining options, or overall cleanliness throughout the property, everything met a high standard. The location was convenient, and the environment felt safe and well maintained. Overall, Hyatt delivers a dependable and quality stay. Perfect for business trips or a relaxing getaway. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I stayed at this location due to the AC going out at my home. It was a nice last minute stay and at a convenient location. So about a couple weeks later I had family coming into town and I suggested this location so much that I went ahead and reserved it myself. Then I went the afternoon before to check in and to pay for the room ahead because my family was going to show up later than expected and they would have a dog.let the front desk know that my group would be needing a room key and gave them the name of the person picking it up for the room. When the morning came at 6am my family was at the hotel and the person at the desk refused to give them a key saying that it is only check out and they can not give me a key. When I showed up at the hotel to confirm and give my family my room key I tried talking to the desk and she yelled at me the same thing, that it was only check out and I could not get a key. I even asked about how would it be handled if someone forgot something in their room and needed to go back in and she said a supervisor would have to walk me to the room themselves. I felt my family was being discriminated. When I called to complain I spoke to a supervisor who said the manager is not available and to call the following. But really the same person called me a couple of days later and they basically said it must have been a misunderstanding and that the rude front desk lady is off for the week and I would have to wait to hear back from someone. My family only ended up using the room to shower and change because they felt uncomfortable due to the way they were talk to and treated. They were only in the room for two hours max! Eventually I was offered half a refund for the room. And was told that the rude front desk lady is a of a mixed race and there is no way she would discriminate. This location has everyone covering for the next person working. Basically the front desk is backed by the next person im charge and the next one above them. There is no point in putting in a complaint.

We LOVED this hotel. Every single one of the staff members are so sweet, funny and just all around great people. The rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable. I had a rather large package sent there and they gladly held onto it while we were out all day. They have a mini Starbucks. Free breakfast and parking. They were very accommodating that's for sure. 10/10

Hi! This was our first stay and it will not be our last. From check in to check out, our stay was great! The team members were very professional, courteous, and kind. The rooms were amazingly clean, comfortable, and set up very well. I commend the cleaning crew for doing such a great job! The breakfast food options were wonderful. There was a large variety of delicious options, even for the pickiest of eaters. The location is fantastic. It is absolutely beautiful and the water bridge allows you to walk to restaurants and shopping. The lobby and other areas of the hotel were also very nice and ample parking was available. The areas are all well lit and secure. Thank you Team Hyatt Place in Sugar Land! A special shout out to Ms. Suzanne and partner for preparing the breakfast and keeping all items re-stocked.

No wow here-The place was quiet. We asked for the best room in our reservation, but got no view. The room was ok, but No hot water in sink or shower that night. ? Bed was hard and the pillows were also hard. Linens were really rough. The breakfast was better-the basics, good coffee and friendly cheerful. Ms. April was very helpful and attentive.

Loved staying here. The view from room was great. Staff very accommodating and greeted you as you entered and left the building. Hot served breakfast buffet eas tasty and slightly different each morning. Loved the river and crosswalk/bridge connecting to shopping center on other side. Nice for photo ops. Building and rooms clean & quiet. Nice location away from busy traffic but quick access to highway. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside is no on-site restaurants. However, they're great restaurants just a few minute walk across the walkway/bridge as well as other places to shop.

We came from out of town to go to a concert at Smart Financial Centre and this ended up being a great choice, close to the venue and an easy drive. Clean and spacious rooms. Yummy breakfast bar. Shops and restaurants very close by so we were able to eat and run some errands quickly and easily. It was also in a safe and quiet area with plenty of parking. The only negative thing I can say is that the air freshener in the lobby was way too strong.

The hotel is in a great location lots of walking space and near a lot of fast food and sit down restaurants. The rooms are spacious and have a sectional and bed area with a half divider. AC works well and “meat locker” is attainable. The gym is quite dated and not maintained. They put in 3 new pleating bikes this year but the cable machine is old and feeling its age. The treadmills need a lot of work, stick with the bike. The breakfast is consistently good but quite the same every day. The staff are wonderful, always cheerful and happy to help.

Beautiful and quiet location. There was big lake with ducks that was nice to walk. Walked along the lite-up bridge that crossed over it to eat at Torchy's. Lobby was nice with lots of windows to look out. Room was clean but just okay. Struggled getting into the bathroom with the miniscule space bergen the door and toilet, sofa was uncomfortable and the coffee machine didn't work properly. Aside from that, the employees were very friendly. Would stay there again and bring my dogs next time despite the flaws.
