Recent guest reviews reveal significant issues with cleanliness, particularly regarding roach sightings and infestations, alongside persistent concerns about unresponsive and occasionally rude front desk staff. While some guests appreciate the hotel’s location and generally clean rooms, the overall experience is marred by inconsistent service and unresolved maintenance problems.

I really wanted to have a good stay, and I will say the front desk associate at check-in was lovely and welcoming. Unfortunately, the room itself was a complete nightmare. Upon entering the room, I noticed the safety latch on the door was coming off the wall, which immediately raised concerns about security. It was clear this wasn’t a new issue, as the bathroom door had obviously been used by others to wedge the entry door closed. After unpacking and getting ready for bed, things went downhill fast. The mattress was extremely hard — literally like sleeping on the floor — making it nearly impossible to get comfortable. To make matters worse, the wall thermostat was so bright it lit up the entire room like a nightlight. Even after covering it with a towel, the light still shined through and disrupted my sleep. The final straw came the next morning when I went into the bathroom and found two roaches crawling on the counter with my toiletries. At that point, I packed my bags and left. I’ve already paid for two nights. I don’t even care at this point. Between the maintenance issues, poor sleep conditions, and cleanliness concerns, I cannot recommend staying here. Management seriously needs to address these problems.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a week. Overall, the stay itself was comfortable, but I unfortunately had a consistently unpleasant experience with one of the employees, Cindy. Each morning, her demeanor was unwelcoming and dismissive. She rarely smiled, came across as though assisting guests was a burden, and her tone often felt rude. Hospitality is largely about how guests are made to feel, and starting each day with that kind of interaction was disappointing. I understand everyone can have off days, but this behavior was consistent throughout my stay. Additionally, there were multiple nights when neighboring rooms were very noisy well past 10 PM. I had to call the front desk several times to address the disturbance. While I appreciate that action was eventually taken, having to repeatedly call disrupted my rest and should not have been necessary. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, both in terms of guest service standards and ensuring a quiet, comfortable environment for guests. These factors truly impact the overall experience. Thank you.

We were not the happiest with our stay. It did what we needed - a cheap option for a 3 day weekend. Upon check in, staff seemed rude (Cheyenne and some other girl).. No communication and could not even tell us our room number. We were told to look on the room key and it was to the right (it was actually to the left / not sure how hard it was to communicate which room # we were in). We were NOT told that breakfast was NOT complimentary and we had to pay until day 2 and after we already ate. 2 workers swarmed us and caused a scene when we questioned, causing the dining room to stare at us. It was embarrassing. What happened to complimentary breakfast from hotels? They acted like we were the insane ones. Breakfast used to be free for all guests at any hotel we used to stay at. The second worker had to go get the sign that’s on display. It was a basic piece of computer paper sized, small print, explaining. Apparently it’s at the check in desk, but it was again, small print, long paragraphs (like anyone has time to read that if someone notices it) and also hidden behind the front desk decorations. The front desk people should have explained that upon check in AND the worker of the dining room should have explained prior to us sitting down to eat. I was unhappy to pay $12 a person for a small cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit. Absolutely insane and expensive. Only good thing about our stay was the room was clean, AC was cold, and the shower was hot. I don’t recommend staying here between the unfriendly staff members and insane breakfast costs. We asked to speak to manager and was promised a resolution. Manager never got back with us.

I booked the room so we could have a spot to get ready and eat before our wedding ceremony. We arrived about midnight and checked in and tried to confirm our breakfast was paid but not a clear answer was given. The room was very nice and clean. We were surprised to have a second bathroom. Which we loved and worked great for groom and bride. We reserved a king suite to have enough space for getting into wedding attire. The lighting was dark. The giant tub was nice. The TV had absolutely nothing to watch everything had to be paid for with no streaming quality. The fridge/ microwave was great for our use. The bed was comfortable and clean. We got extra towels which was great. The confusion came at breakfast we went to the are which it’s not “free” we paid when booking. We grabbed what they did have. The options were tons of fruit, juice and bread/pastry. A few cereal choices. Eggs potatoes and sausage links was the only main course. We were provided with a menu upon sitting and were confused on inclusion or extra. We ordered waffles and got a single waffle for $11.00. We were also handed a plate of bacon (not sure why) we were also charged a “kids continental $6.95” ( assumed it was for plate of bacon). We paid and left. Next day charged was updated to $25.00. Overall it was a good room but the charges and breakfast don’t make sense. They did allow us to use the fitness bathroom to change our wedding attire before our driving home. Which was helpful. The hotel was pretty, clean and accommodating for all other aspects the late check out options weren’t accommodating for our situation.

I’m here for our annual Managers’ Meeting, and from check-in to dinner, this hotel has exceeded expectations in all the right ways. The front desk team set the tone immediately! Warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. The recent upgrades really show: the room feels fresh, thoughtfully updated, and immaculately clean. It’s comfortable in a way that lets you actually relax after a busy morning followed by a long drive! Room service deserves its own mention. I ordered the buffalo chicken wings with celery and carrots along with a house salad, and everything was prepared perfectly + delivered quickly!

The Hilton hosted my 50th birthday celebration, and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff, the food, and the venue were all extraordinary. My guests and I were extremely delighted with the entire experience. Best regards, Corban

Good location and quality of the rooms, but mostly amazing service from Rohit. He made us feel at home and gave us useful recommendations. His kindness was truly the highlight of our stay to be honest. ?? The breakfast was very basic.

Room was just fine. Floors kinda gross. Sticky. Wore shoes. The curtains in room didn't go all the way down. Shower door didn't stay closed and kept sliding open. Just ok. For $110 a night it was fine

Overall it was a comfortable stay but it did not come without disappointments. Let me start with the good experiences: 1. Check/Front Desk: The wonderful black gentlewoman (I did not catch her name) was absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. She helped with a late check out and also changing rooms, she also made great recommendations on the coffee/food options. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THREE STARS! The bad experiences: 1. The server supervisor at the breakfast tables (Latino lady) was extremely rude and racist with several customers, me, my dad and also another mother and children who were of Asian descent. I specifically do want to call her out as her rude and arrogant behavior is not acceptable and reflects badly for a property like Hilton. I am frequent patron and none of the other properties gave such a bad service. She also was also not prompt in collecting the coupons. 2. Rooms: I had to change two rooms as the first room was cockroach infested (430) and the second room (402) had water leakage from the air conditioning on the carpet and the room had a very mouldy smell which triggered my allergies. The 3rd room was fine. I know this is not the first time as I saw the staff using fans to dry out the carpets and kept the room open. They also used pesticide in the rooms. We stayed at the hotel for 7 days as a family for a wedding and brought business to them. It is totally unacceptable for this level of poor service. I don’t know even if this will be addressed. I have not seen any responses from the property owner to negative comments in Google.

I would like to start by thanking Honorio, Cesar, Saul, Paloma, and all working team at Hilton Garden Inn. If you want to talk about professionalism at work, they are number 1 at it. If you want to talk about care and kindness, they are also number 1 at it. And if you want to talk about hospitality, they are number 1 at it. And if you want to talk about accommodating one’s requests, they are number 1 at it. They all went above and beyond to accommodate my son’s wedding event, and my guests who stayed there. They did everything possible to make our event one to remember for life. This in addition to delicious food, great servers, and workers. Truly thank you deep from our heart for everyone who helped in making our occasion a special one. If it happened we have another event in TX, I will look no where else to do the occasion. it will be for sure Hilton Garden Inn Sugarland. We feel it’s our new home away from home ( KY). Thank you again for everything. I wish I could give you 100 stars out of 5 . You deserve 100 out of 100, if not even more. Going to miss you all. Until we meet next time?
