The Heritage Inn Suites Houston/Sugar Land consistently receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its cleanliness and friendly staff. While some guests appreciate the value and convenient location, recurring concerns relate to dated facilities, inconsistent service, and occasional issues with room maintenance. Recent reviews indicate an improvement in customer service and a generally positive experience.
The service was great. It is an older hotel but it was very clean, beds comfy and the breakfast was super yummy! They also had popcorn snack in the afternoons which was a special treat for my kiddo! It was a simple gesture that was welcoming and appreciated!
I was pleasantly surprised on the cleanliness of the entire hotel. It was wonderful. My lungs are reactive so scents musty things really hurt me. The sheets and towels were wonderful. No scent and very clean!
Hot tub was hot with jets working (I did call to confirm this would be so before booking) free delicious popcorn from 3-7 (we didn't see it out so we asked and they popped it fresh for us) Wish there was more water pressure in the shower, but I honestly feel that way at every hotel I've ever stayed at so I can't hold that against them. Breakfast was good. Great value for the price paid, would definitely stay again.
I have to travel to the Houston/Sugar Land frequently for work. I've stayed at several Wyndham properties in the area but this is by far the best and now I stay here exclusively. Lois behind the desk is the best and Im always happy to see her smile welcoming me when I check in. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the price is a great value. They have a convience pantry, a solid breakfast and a nice pool area. There's lots of stores and restaurants close by and access is easy and right off the freeway. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.
This hotel is very shady on how it manages its business. I booked through Priceline and it booked the wrong date for me cause I was coming down from Dallas the week after they booked me. I called them and Priceline telling them to just push my reservation to another day. They said they couldn’t and wouldn’t give me refund. Then told Priceline that I used the room when I wasn’t even in the city. If that’s how they manage their business I can only imagine how it is to stay there. Be careful booking here cause they don’t care about their customers.
Was used to visiting the area and staying at Drury Inn before it changed to this crap. Drove 4 hours and Arrived after 3:00 a.m. on 12-27-25 and wanted to check out the morning of 12-29-25. No one was at the desk and after about 10 minutes of waiting, I called the front desk and the attendee finally came. She was kind and got me checked in. The room I was assigned, 402, had a large, unattractive area with pleather missing from the headboard, the bathroom sink didn’t drain well, the toilet ran, and not only that, the bowl part of it was stained! This was a high indicator that the housekeeping is not thoroughly cleaning the rooms. My towels were not refilled the following day. This new company has done away with the kick back, which was a guest favorite, Drury points don’t transfer, they removed the vending machines then brought them back, and kept the rooms the same ? They really need to remodel the rooms to keep up with the area, but no wonder they’re offering cheap deals. Not to mention, the breakfast was subpar. Fake eggs, bland sausage both mornings, the tables were not clean, and their guests, mainly foreigners, were rude. I just didn’t like it and will not go back. I opted not to take photos of that nasty toilet because it literally grossed me out. Very disappointed and wish I’d known Drury was bought out, but I had to book a hotel last minute and it was my go-to spot until I arrived. ?
This hotel earns a one-star rating due to its misleading and unethical pet policy. The listed policy states that “rooms with pets will be charged a daily cleaning fee,” but the actual amount is not disclosed anywhere, other than a refundable $50 deposit. After a 3-night stay with my two small pugs, I discovered I had been charged $210 in pet fees—$65 per night—without any prior disclosure. If this is truly a daily cleaning fee, then daily cleaning should occur. It did not. My room was cleaned only once, and that was after I checked out. Charging for three days of a service that was only performed once is unacceptable. For comparison, the Hyatt Place just down the road is a much nicer hotel and charges a flat fee of $75 per pet for the entire stay, not per night. Six nights with pets at Wyndham Heritage Inn would cost $420 in pet fees, while the same stay at Hyatt Place would still be $75. This hotel does not disclose its excessive per-night pet fee online. You must call to find out what you’ll actually be charged. Had this fee been disclosed upfront, I would not have chosen this property. Given that I was charged three times for a service performed only once, I believe a refund of $145 is reasonable. I hope the property addresses this appropriately; if they do, I’m willing to update my review. However, as it stands, the lack of transparency and the discrepancy between fees charged and services provided is unacceptable. -------------------- UPDATE ------------------------- I reached out last week to the hotel as requested in the owners response and so for have not had any response from hotel management.
I was pleasantly surprised with this visit. I needed a staycation and I found a great deal on booking.com. The room was clean and the check in was easy and pleasant. The environment was quiet and the Pappasitos being walking distance made it an even better choice. Free breakfast is always a welcome, however I think the waffle machine down a day 2. No worries there were plenty of danishes, eggs, sausage and potatoes available. This may be my new staycation spot.
I would rate this hotel 10. The customer service was excellent. The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was quiet and serene. The breakfast was excellent—eggs, sausage, and fruit, all fresh, and the juice was very good. There was a large parking lot. We stayed at the Sugarland Hotel in Houston, TX. Close to all types of restaurants. To the housekeeping crew Thank you all for your hospitality
Stayed at the hotel for a stay during my family member having surgery done. Staff was amazing in helping us with our needs. Rooms was comfortable and accommodating. Nice and cool. Clean towels and a comfortable bed. Lost one of my daughter's stuffed animals when we first got there. Staff was more then helpful in finding the puppy before we had departed the hotel. Would definitely book again in the future.
